What we are doing here is precisely and preciously the value of the new world that is developing: the ability to discuss, listen and learn regarding critical, current moral issues and to explore our own thinkng, feeling and to share our spiritual journey--outside official channels--traditional churches--which were never interested in helping us develop from "inside out." and learning to think theologically for ourselves, which is exactly why they cannot handle current questions tearing some of them apart: like ordaining homosexuals, or women, or the literal interpretation of the bible.
